SDS Bugayong proactively leads Alaminos City Division amidst COVID-19

Amidst the global pandemic caused by COVID-19, the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Alaminos City, under the proactive leadership of Dr. Lorna G. Bugayong, Schools Division Superintendent, together with Mr. Aguedo C. Fernandez, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent (ASDS), Dr. Wilfredo E. Sindayen, Chief Education Supervisor (CES) in Curriculum Implementation Division and Dr. Arturo R. Viray, CES in School Governance and Operations Division, has initiated a work scheme to ensure that the delivery of services to its clients and to the public is continuous and not interrupted.

To promptly support the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in the entire Luzon as announced by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, last March 17, 2020 SDS Bugayong called and presided an emergency meeting held at SDO Library Hub which was attended by the ASDS, chiefs and all heads of unit in the Division Office. During the emergency meeting, she said that a skeletal work force should be implemented, and the key personnel and alternates should report once a week, observe “work from home” arrangement and are on-call when their services are needed. Furthermore, she said that the use of the biometrics is suspended to prevent possible spread of the virus, other infections and diseases. She also conveyed that checking of forms is cancelled until further notice and new guidelines are being issued by DepEd. Moreover, she relayed an information requiring the participants to the National Festival of Talents and National Schools Press Conference to undergo self-quarantine. In closing, she announced that DepEd is doing all its best in negotiating for the early release of salary of employees for the month of March and April, including the clothing allowance.

On the other hand, SDS Bugayong called another meeting last March 23, 2020 which was attended by ASDS Fernandez, Chiefs Sindayen and Viray, Mrs. Elnora T. Raroque, Division Education Program Supervisor in English and Dr. Diana Marie G.
