The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Alaminos City, with the dedicated leadership and guidance of Dr. Danilo C. Sison, CESO V, Schools Division Superintendent, has successfully passed several stages of auditing and is now International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 Certified.

Last April 08, 2019, SDO Alaminos City joyously received its ISO 9001:2015 Certificate at the Schools Division Office Library Hub. The awarding ceremony started with a Thanksgiving Mass celebrated by Fr. Napoleon A. Molano III, one of the priests of St. Joseph Cathedral. Afterwards, the Opening Program begun when Dr. Diana Marie G. Oiguan, Education Program Specialist II in Human Resource Development with Planning and Research, warmly greeted the dignitaries at the presidential table and invited everybody to stand for the singing of the National Anthem, Worship Song, Pangasinan Hymn and Alaminos City Division Hymn.

Dr. Arturo R. Viray, Chief Education Supervisor in School Governance and Operations Division, called everybody’s attention and acknowledged their presence through a Roll Call. Next, Mr. Aguedo C. Fernandez, the Officer-In-Charge in the Office of the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, delivered his warm words of welcome to all the distinguished guests and happily announced that it is the right time to celebrate success out from the sacrifices and patience of the Division Personnel in doing in their part for the ISO Certification.

Afterwards, Dr. Sison inspired everybody through his message. He, too, sincerely thanked all the Division Personnel for their hard work for the ISO Certification. He also recognized the efforts of the School Heads who served as members of the Internal Audit team which was very instrumental in the achievement of the said certification. He closed his message by communicating the good news about the approval of the clothing allowance for the teaching and non-teaching personnel of Alaminos City Division.

Liga ng mga Barangay Provincial Federation President, Board Member Arth Bryan C. Celeste, came early at the venue as one of the guests. He started his message by extending his warm greetings to the significant dignitaries at the presidential table, the distinguished guests and the attendees of the awarding ceremony. In his message, Board Member Celeste highlighted the important roles of the Division Personnel in the enhancement of the processes and procedures in delivering better services and serving better our stakeholders. Finally, he urged everyone to work harder not only for the Schools Division Office nor for the pride of achieving the ISO Certification, but for the welfare of all learners in Alaminos City.

On the other hand, City Vice Mayor Anton Y. Perez, also came and graced the awarding ceremony. Vice Mayor Perez also conveyed his heartfelt message and congratulated the leaders and personnel of SDO Alaminos City for accomplishing the ISO 9001:2015 Certificate. He moved everyone’s heart by saying that this accomplishment is the legacy of SDO Alaminos City in providing quality education for the learners, achieving DepEd’s mission to make “no learner is left behind” and in making Alaminos City a better place.

The highlight of the awarding ceremony is the message and announcement of Miss Nory Anne R. Mendoza, Business Development Specialist of the DQS Philippines. Before her message, she greeted everybody and congratulated Alaminos City Division for having the ISO 9001:2015 Certificate. Furthermore, she saluted and recognized the efforts and commitment of SDO Alaminos City as the achievement of all Division Personnel who work

ed hard. She also shared her thoughts on the four C’s of the DQS Philippines: CHALLENGE to be better and to maintain what has been started; COMMITMENT to strive in providing excellent service to clients; CONTROL and will power to do things, and CONSISTENCY for the surveillance audit. In closing, she read the text of the certificate and awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Certificate to SDO Alaminos City which was received by Dr. Sison, Mr. Fernandez, Dr. Wilfredo E. Sindayen and Dr. Viray, with the assistance of Board Member Celeste and City Vice Mayor Perez. A plaque of appreciation was also awarded to DQS Philippines and was received by Miss Mendoza for being the service provider and partner of SDO Alaminos City in its quest to attain the ISO Certificate.

Dr. Sindayen, the Chief Education Supervisor of the Curriculum Implementation Division, expressed his greetings to the attendees and conveyed his Closing Remarks. He underscored that the Lord God has a time table for all of us as the SDO Alaminos City is about to reap the highest certification as far as providing services and satisfaction to the customers is concern. Moreover, he challenged the Division Personnel not to go back to their usual doings, but to strive to be better in the name of quality service to the public.

After the Awarding of the ISO 9001:2015 Certificate to SDO Alaminos City, all the distinguished guests, School Heads and Division Personnel were invited to a fellowship lunch which was held at the SDO Conference Room.
