Brigada Eskwela 2018

To show deep appreciation to the best practices and to recognize the efforts, hard work and initiatives of the internal and external stakeholders in both public elementary and secondary schools in the Division during the conduct of the 2018 Brigada Eskwela, the Schools Division Office of City of Alaminos, spearheaded by the very dedicated Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Danilo C. Sison, CESO V, held the Division Awarding Ceremony for the 2018 Brigada Eskwela Best Implementer last June 24, 2018 at the Schools Division Office Library Hub.

 

The Opening Program of the said Division Awarding Ceremony formally started when Dr. Diana Marie G. Oiguan, Education Program Specialist II in Human Resource Development with Planning and Research and the assigned Lady of Ceremony, invited the dignitaries at the Presidential Table and all the participants to stand and give honor to God and to the country by singing wholeheartedly the Patriotic Song and Doxology.

 

The untiring Chief Education Supervisor of the Schools Governance and Operations Division, Dr. Arturo R. Viray conveyed his very warm words of welcome to the guests and the participants, followed by the Roll Call by Mr. Mario D. Rantayo, Education Program Specialist II in School Management Monitoring and Evaluation with Social Mobilization and Networking.

 

Next, Mrs. Soledad P. Peralta, Senior Education Program Specialist in School Management Monitoring and Evaluation with Social Mobilization and Networking presented the Rationale of the Brigada Eskwela Program. In her presentation, Mrs. Peralta explained the point system used for the computation of rating of each school.

 

The very active Officer-In-Charge in the Office of the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Mr. Aguedo C. Fernandez, communicated his heartfelt message and congratulated the School Heads and the stakeholders for coming together and working together in preparing the schools for their learners and for keeping their learning environment not only conducive to learning, but also safe and secure place for everyone.

 

Dr. Sison also congratulated the 2018 Brigada Eskwela Best Implementers and challenged the non-winners to strive harder and to link to more stakeholders to generate more funds that will help them finance the expenses in maintaining the beautification and safety of their school.

 

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of City of Alaminos, City Mayor Arthur F. Celeste, ably represented by Miss Michelle Sison-Segundera, too, articulated the support of the whole Local Government Unit in making and keeping all the schools in the Division safe and conducive to learning. Miss Segundera expressed her willingness to help in the Brigada Eskwela as she has already rendered her services as one of the members of brigade to different schools in the recently concluded 2018 Brigada Eskwela Week.

 

On the other hand, Liga ng mga Barangay President, Mr. Arth Bryan C. Celeste, also graced the Awarding Ceremony through his presence and in his message, he urged everyone to be united as one community in keeping the cleanliness and maintaining our schools. He stressed out to the participants the value of volunteerism. In closing, Mr. Celeste left this quotation, “Dahil po sa ating pong pagbabayanihan, tayo po ang tunay na bayani ng bayan”.

Aside from Certificates of Recognition, Plaques of Recognition made from E-Kawayan were also awarded to the winners and the School Heads of the Best Implementing Schools shared their best practices through their messages. In addition, power point presentations and pictorials about the 2018 Brigada Eskwela Best Implementing Schools’ journey during the 2018 Brigada Eskwela were also viewed by the participants.

Mr. Jaime S. Mabalot, Jr. Head Teacher III of Dulacac Elementary School, stated his Pledge of Commitment and expressed his eagerness to strive harder to be one of the School Heads of Brigada Eskwela Best Implementing Schools in the Division. In his message, he accepted the challenge and encouraged the other School Heads to work harder for their learners.

In his Closing Remarks, Dr. Wilfredo E. Sindayen, extended his greetings to the SGOD team for doing a job well done. He, too, mentioned about the Project 4686, a Division initiated-project which targets to increase the Mean Percentage Score (MPS) of the 46 public elementary and secondary schools in the Division to 86%. Furthermore, Dr. Sindayen stated that the said project aims to make the learners in Alaminos City achieve their full potentials, and the Brigada Eskwela is one of the ways of the Division on how to achieve the said endeavor.
